Korea Travel Vlog #3

by User Not Found | Jul 17, 2015
On this episode of my vlog series I featured the Cheonggyecheon Stream.

What is so special about this place is its history: until 2005 the Cheonggyecheon stream was a neglected waterway hidden by an overpass. It did nothing good for the environment and it had no purpose. Now it is considered a "haven" of natural beauty amidst the hustle and bustle of city life.

The two narrow roadways that are parallel to the stream have helped decrease traffic around the area and have increased the use of public transportation. The stream has also increased natural wildlife and has cooled down the urban heat island effect by an average of 38.5 degrees.

ENJOY!
